VD12 - Sisteron - Saint-Geniez - Walking

Total length
14.4 km
From the Cathedral of Sisteron, where there are the remains of a chapel dedicated to Saint-Jacques and the ancient hospital of Saint-Jacques, used by pilgrims in the Middle Ages, we cross the bridge over the Durance and we reach Baume. The village preserves the remains of a Dominican convent in the Romanesque-Lombard style, dating back to the mid-thirteenth century. A long but uncomfortable climb leads to Saint-Geniez.
